Ten minutes on talking to kids about climate change – video

with No Comments

Earlier this autumn, I was invited to be the very first ‘Ten minutes with…’ interviewee for Green Squirrel‘s newly launched online platform, The Something Club.

Wales-based Green Squirrel is a social enterprise, ‘offering practical, creative, and inclusive opportunities for individuals and communities to take action on the climate and ecological emergency.’  The Something Club, which you can join for £5.50-£8 a month, is thgeir new online community and monthly events programme designed to help everyone become a climate leader in their own life.  There are monthly events, a community space for chats, coffee mornings and book clubs, and monthly guides to planet-friendly living.

I spent a lovely half hour chatting to fellow mum and environmental campaigner Hannah Garcia about the challenges of parenting and remaining true to your environmental ideals (party bags, I’m looking at you!), why I set up KidsCAN, and what I think is key to remember when any adults considers speaking to a child about the climate crisis.

The video is now live on The Something Club platform, but Hannah has kindly said we can share it on our website too.

Here it is!
